In May of 1998, the San Diego District Attorney Investigators Association established a FALLEN OFFICERS FUND for the purpose of rendering financial assistance to any active Police Officer, Local, State or Federal, or his/hers immediate family, in San Diego and Imperial County, who would be in need of immediate financial assistance as a result of death or any other capacity in which financial assistance would not otherwise be available.

Members of the Association decided to host an annual FOF Golf Tournament for the purpose of raising funds and make the fund known to the law enforcement community.

Since the inception of the FOF the golf tournament has grown enormously popular and always “Sells Out” to a total of 144 golfing participants who generously support this benevolent cause of the Fallen Officers Fund. The tournament is always preceded with a memorial service remembering our Fallen Officers who have gone before us.
